(Full-Time) Community Outreach Officer – Hong Kong Art Gallery Association

Hong Kong Art Gallery Association is a member-based non-profit organisation of established art galleries in Hong Kong and is now looking for a new position of Community Outreach Officer.

Responsibilities:
– Plan professional development workshops and students seminars
– Organise & execute events & initiatives monthly
– Develop gallery talk series and monthly tour
– Charity administrative work
– Update Website & Social media channels
– Writing/proof-reading/editing press releases & literature
– Maintaining database and records
– Book-keeping, simple accounting work & financial updates
– In charge of grant application, reports, presentations and proposals
– Serve as the main point of liaison for relevant government bodies, educational institutions & corporations

Knowledge/ Skills:
– Demonstrated ability to develop and coordinate active outreach programs
– Knowledge of grant writing
– Knowledge of the workings of small non-profit organizations
– Knowledge of the workings of small local municipalities

Requirements:
– University degree
– At least 2 years working experience
– Relevant educational or work experience in Arts/Culture or Marketing/PR will be an advantage.
– Excellent command of spoken & written English & Chinese preferred
– Proficiency in spoken Putonghua
– Mature, presentable, with good communication & interpersonal skills
– Fast learner & carrying multitasking skills
– Possessing creativity, initiative & self-motivation
– Ability to work independently & efficiently
– Ability to multi-task, with good organisational skills
– Attention to details a must
– Graphic design proficiency with design software including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign will be an advantage.
– Knowledge of relevant computer programs (incl. Dropbox, Mailchimp, Survey Monkey, etc.) will be an advantage
