On the occasion of Hong Kong Art Gallery Association’s SouthSide Saturday on February 6th, Alisan Fine Arts Aberdeen is excited to present a series of 4 short videos produced in conjunction with the current exhibition Brushless. Each video focuses on the exhibited artists: Michael Cherney, Lee Chun-yi, Wang Tiande, Zhang Yu and sheds light on the inspiration behind their work and their creative practice. Individually these artists employ Chinese seals and ink rubbings, fingerprints, photography, and incense to produce internationally acclaimed work that pushes the boundaries of classical ink painting.
Language: Cantonese, Putonghua, and English (subtitles: Chinese/English).
The total film duration of the four clips is around 12 minutes.
In addition to the hourly screening, there will be two guided tours following the 11 am and 4 pm sessions.
To maintain better social distancing and in case of last-minute changes, we kindly ask you to RSVP [email protected]
Please note that Alisan Aberdeen will be open on Saturdays 10am – 6pm only starting 1 February. All other days are by appointment only.
