Welcome to Art Basel Hong Kong 2014!
Thursday, 15th May through Sunday, 18th May, 2014.
Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, Wanchai.
With half of the participating galleries coming from Asia and Asia-Pacific, Art Basel in Hong Kong assumes a significant role in the international art world, providing a portal to the region’s artists. The new show gives galleries from around the world a platform in Asia to demonstrate the way they work with artists, and to bring their highest quality work to Hong Kong.
The show’s six exhibition sectors are designed to present an exceptional selection of works, including museum-quality pieces by proven masters and new artworks by emerging artists. Additional exhibitions and events, timed to coincide with Art Basel (such as ‘Art Gallery Night‘ on Tuesday, 13th May, 6pm-10:30pm, organised by Hong Kong Art Gallery Association ‘HKAGA’) will take place across the city’s thriving gallery scene and in its growing array of cultural institutions.
