Founded in Taipei in 1975, and launched in Shanghai in 2010, Longmen Art Projects is delighted to announce the opening of our Hong Kong gallery on March 25th, 2017. Located within the rapidly growing South Island Cultural District, Longmen Art Projects’ inaugural exhibition, Introspection and Exploration: Artistic Generations in Asia will include 70 works by 24 artists, showcasing their various unique artistic styles from China, Japan, and Korea.
The 24 artists include Yozo Ukita (Japan, 1924-2013), Walasse Ting (China/USA, 1928-2010), Yayoi Kusama (Japan/USA, b.1929), Kim Tschang-Yeul (Korea, b.1929), Richard Lin (Taiwan/UK, 1933-2011), Chuang Che (China, b.1934), Hsiao Chin (China, b.1935), Liao Hsiou-Ping (Taiwan, b.1936), Nobuyoshi Araki (Japan, b.1940), Hsu Tung-Lung (Taiwan, b.1947), Lu Ming-Te (Taiwan, b.1950), Ye Yongqing (China, b.1958), Liu Yung-Jen (Taiwan, b.1958), Hiroyuki Matsuura (Japan, b.1964), Huang Zhiyang (Taiwan, b.1965), Li Lei (China, b.1965), Hiroto Kitagawa (Japan, b.1967), Ikki Miyake (Japan, b.1973), Kohei Nawa (Japan, b.1975), Lin Hairong (China, b.1975), Aya Takano (Japan, b.1976), Han Yajuan (China, b.1980), Tetsuya Noguchi (Japan, b.1980), Luo Dan (China, b.1981) and Ye Funa (China, b.1986).
