“Once obscured by the dust of life, one meets the fragrant western breeze”
The showcase will be a visual journey of Sun’s seminal works in ink. Living in Dali City in Yunnan, the unassuming Sun is an artist of great personal humility but whose works invoke stunning power and expansive ideas.
Sun attended the Shenzhou Art Academy in 1983 and studied traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy, graduating from the Liaoning University of Art and Culture. Having been to the Beijing Yuan Ming Yuan (‘Garden of Perfect Brightness’, Artist Village), Sun experienced the greatness of the Eastern philosophy, as well as the great scriptures and the old masters. The style of his works is influenced by his lifelong devotion to Buddhism and a Tibetan prostration pilgrimage with a Monk in the Himalayas. Sun has been with Sin Sin Fine Art since 2004.
A Buddhist scholar, nature lover, and spiritual explorer, this exhibition will change your paradigm of what is contemporary Buddhist art.
