She was member of the renowned Belgium dance company Ultima Vez directed by Wim Vandekeybus for almost a decade; previously she worked with Lanònima Imperial, and also associated with General Electrica Artist Collective, in Barcelona. She regularly teaches workshops of contemporary dance technique worldwide. EMBER is an artistic Platform that bears the works of the Spanish dancers, choreographers and teachers, Laura Arís & Jorge Jáuregui. They are constantly looking for a dramatic background to each new creation, telling and inhabiting stories. Listening to their bodies in order to redefine its position to the reality around them. Emphasizing the evocative power of the movement. MicroAcciones is an intervention dance project created by EMBER for museums, art galleries and unusual spaces.
The opening will also feature live music performance by Edmund Leung who is an accomplished local handpan player and song writer.
