Wang Keping: History, Practice and Process | ASHK x HKAGA Art Talk

Exhibition details

28 March, 2020
12:00 pm - 12:30 pm
Event Category:

10 Chancery Lane Gallery presents Wang Keping’s “Leaning Woman” at Asia Society’s Hong Kong Centre. Wang Keping, known for his wooden sculptures, expands his practice to bronze to make forms that cannot be done in wood. This female form stands gently leaning on one arm, her head slightly tilted. The lines of the work create a flowing balance between the curl of the hair, the curvaceous form of the body steadied by the arm that make the weighty bronze appear light. His works often have a sensuous quality with minimal detail to evoke emotion.

Gallery director, Katie de Tilly will give a talk about Wang Keping his history, practice and process on March 28th, 12:00-12:30, which will be live-streamed on the Facebook pages from HKAGA, Asia Society and Cobo Social.
