We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Gallery Interns, contributing to various aspects of gallery operations, exhibition and fair management, and the preparation of our new space.

Responsibilities 

  • Assisting with daily gallery operations and general administration.
  • Providing support during gallery events and receptions.
  • Assisting with exhibition preparations and material management.
  • Assisting with content creation for newsletters and social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, WeChat).
  • Contributing to the setup of our upcoming new space.
  • Conducting stock taking and updating the database.

Requirements

  • University students or recent graduates, preferably with a background in an art-related field.
  • Genuine interest in Chinese contemporary art.
  • Strong writing and communication skills in both Chinese and English.

Hong Kong Art Gallery Association is currently seeking an intern to assist in the general planning, coordination and execution of HKAGA’s programme in 2024.

Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a proactive and organised candidate to join our team as Gallery Assistant in the full range of tasks, including, but not limited to daily operation, archiving, art handing and exhibition management.

Responsibility:
– Assisting daily operation and general administration tasks
− Liaise and coordinate with registrar and gallery manager
– Managing archival records through photographing and updating inventory
− Ensure efficient day to day in-house property movement, packing, installation & de-installation, production, property receipt and release to internal and external clients
– Providing logistics support in condition check, packing/unpacking and moving
− Assist with condition check, take and record condition images, work with registrar on accurate labelling and complete the stock-in process
− Other duties as assigned

Requirement:
− At least 1-2 year working experience in contemporary art, fine art handling or warehouse operation, with gallery experience is desirable
− Very high level of attention to detail and organisational skills, able to work well within a team and a proven ability to communicate well with internal and external clients
