Time:
3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Galerie Ora-Ora invites you to A Forgotten Tale of Two Cities, a conversation about home, identity and our shared memories. Immersed in the colourful walls of Gary Mok Wai Hong’s Dual SIM solo show, the artist will be in conversation critic and journalist, Tinny Cheng on the subject of two great cities, Hong Kong and Beijing. Having grown up in Hong Kong, before moving to Beijing to study at the prestigious Central Academy of Fine Arts, Gary Mok Wai-Hong has experienced the divided identity of belonging in two places.

Our conversation will cover changes in the two cities over the last 20 years, and the impact of ongoing and rapid development on the social and physical landscape of each metropolis. What marks has the passage of time left on us, and on our environment? As the cities change, what is worth remembering of our shared past? Join in the conversation as we delve into the treasures of memory.
