Galerie Ora-Ora will be devoting a solo show to new paintings by the Hangzhou-based artist, Peng Jian, taking place at the Liang Yi Museum on Hollywood Road between 20-23 March 2017.

Peng Jian’s shelved towers of books and Rubik’s cubes create an angular, precise landscape where order and constraint seem to hold sway. Paired with bright, colourful hues, the relentless cubic regimentation creates a dizzying sensation. The effect combines the inner balance and calm of the eastern aesthetic with the expressive force of the west.
