For the exhibition “Beyond the Ordinary – Contemporary Book Art”, writer Eva Wong Yi began learning letterpress printing from scratch. Throughout the preparation, she spent countless hours on site typesetting and printing — every single character earned through patience and persistence. After many trials and failures, she finally completed “Much Ado About Some Funny Business”, a witty series of printed “menus” and “advertisements” that reflect on Hong Kong’s food culture, relationships, and bilingual language environment.

Beyond presenting her works, Eva now extends the project into a one‑of‑a‑kind event: an immersive “Post-Print Artist Sharing Banquet.” Inspired by one of her letterpress pieces, she invites you to a Hong Kong‑style wedding‑banquet dinner, where guests can witness her journey as a newcomer to printmaking and explore how the letterpress “menus” in “Much Ado About Some Funny Business” mirror Hong Kong life and language.
