Founded in 2022 by Queenie Rosita Law, Double Q is a contemporary art gallery located in the city centre of Hong Kong.  We are currently looking for an organised and motivated individual to support our team by performing various duties related to art handling. This paid internship provides candidates with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with preparing art exhibitions while continuing their studies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in packing/unpacking artwork for shipment and storage

• Assist with artwork condition check, stretching/un-stretching of paintings

• Assist in preparing gallery for exhibition including installation and de-installation, spackling, light painting

• Assist with the fabrication of special items for exhibition display, art fairs, and shipments

• Loading/unloading trucks; moving crated/packed works throughout the galleries and warehouse

• Assist with special events, including exhibition opening

• Perform ad-hoc operational duties as requested

Requirements

• Available for 1 to 2 days a week

• University student or University graduate (Degree or relevant qualifications in Fine Arts, Creative Arts, or similar field)

• Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Weekend and evening work as required
