Gallery Intern (Design & Digital Media Focus)

Join one of Hong Kong's most established contemporary Chinese art galleries. 

We're seeking a creative, detail-oriented team player with strong skills in graphic design, video production, and digital content creation to elevate our visual storytelling across all platforms.

Core Creative Responsibilities

Visual Content & Design

Design promotional and marketing materials for exhibitions, art fairs, and events

Produce print and digital catalogues using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator

Create compelling graphics optimized for social media, newsletters, and web

Photo & Video Production

Photograph and film gallery events, artist talks, and exhibition openings

Edit and retouch photos/videos for rapid turnaround on social media

Produce short-form video content and YouTube clips featuring artists and events

Handle AV equipment and manage post-production workflows

Digital & Social Media Management

Manage and grow our presence across Instagram, Facebook, WeChat, Little Red Book, and Mailchimp

Maintain and update gallery website with fresh visual content

Post real-time gallery happenings, stories, and newsletters

Exhibition Support

Assist in exhibition installation and art fair booth design

Create 3D visualizations using SketchUp

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro (or CapCut and equivalent)

Strong eye for visual composition, color, and typography

Photography and videography skills — comfortable shooting events and behind-the-scenes content

Fast, efficient editing for social media-ready content

Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin)

Bonus Points

Experience with AV equipment and digital technologies

Prior gallery, museum, or creative agency experience

Familiarity with contemporary art and Chinese art markets

The Details

Hours: Monday–Saturday, 10:00–18:00 (5-day work week)

Start date: Immediate availability preferred

Flexibility: Extended hours during exhibitions and fairs
