Fantasia: Go Yayanagi, Nobuko Watabiki and Miyako Terakura  18 May - 15 June 2024 Whitestone Gallery H Queen’s   (18 May 2024, Hong Kong) Whitestone Gallery is delighted to present a group exhibition featuring Japanese artists Go Yayanagi (b. 1933), Nobuko Watabiki (b. 1958) and Miyako Terakura (b.1994). The exhibition will showcase a diverse range of artworks that highlight the unique talents and artistic expressions of fantasies of these three accomplished artists.   Deeply influenced by his sojourn in South America and Africa in the 1950s, Go Yayanagi’s artistic pursuit is rooted from his daily interaction and studies of nature and animals. Commemorating the one-year anniversary of Hsiao Chin's passing, 3812 Gallery presents "From Eternal Garden to the Bright Side – Hsiao Chin Memorial Exhibition in Hong Kong.” The exhibition delves into a transformative period in Hsiao's artistic development from the 1990s to 2000s, which marked the pinnacle of his creative journey. Through a retrospective lens, we bear witness to the master's cathartic transformation from grief and loss to personal salvation and reaching enlightenment. Wamono art is excited to showcase some of its collections and works of artists who are introduced in the exhibitions in Paris, France in 2018 as a part of the “Japonismes 2018: les âmes en resonance” which was a joint project between Japan and France in commemoration of the 160th anniversary of friendship between France and Japan. In this exhibition, some works and artists exhibited at “Japon Japonismes. Objets inspirés, 1867-2018” at Le Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and “Fendre l’air, Art du bamboo au Japon” in Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac are showed.
