The Role

As an Account Executive, your role would predominantly consist of servicing and placing the Fine Art & Business insurance policies of existing small to mid-sized clients and looking after the related administration involved. In addition, you would be expected to assist develop new business in Hong Kong and more broadly in Asia alongside the Team Head.  You will be working with WTW offices all over Asia as well as liaising with the Head Office in London. Clients include galleries, museums, auction houses, private & corporate collections and logistics companies.

It is not expected for candidates to have any insurance knowledge although this would be an advantage. Right from the beginning, you will receive training in respect of Fine Art & Jewellery Insurance with the intent that you start servicing and liaising with clients as soon as the relevant mandatory insurance examinations are passed. It is expected that during this time you develop your own personal knowledge of this specialist line of insurance as well as develop a network by attending exhibition openings, Art Fairs and other art related events. You will also be given a broad introduction to the other general lines of insurance. Once training is complete, you will then be expected to assist the team in achieving the objectives of the business unit in line with the annual budget and overall corporate objectives as well as effectively manage and grow a portfolio of clients ensuring that their risk management and insurance broking needs are identified and met.

Notwithstanding the above, it is anticipated that you will also be scheduled to receive training for the administrative tasks and the familiarization of the company systems, procedures, working practices and methods after joining to support the administrative demands of the role.

Fair Assistants Programme - Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong 2018


Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong is welcoming its 5th edition on 19 – 21st May in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. With over 115 local and international galleries participating, there will be contemporary artworks ranging from HKD$1,000 to HKD$100,000 for both first-time and experienced buyers.

There will also be complimentary art activities for the young and old. Children’s Art Studio allows children to explore their inner Picasso while adults can enjoy making custom prints at our Creative Workshop. Special Projects will bring in large-scale art installations while our Café and Bar provide resting and socialising area for our visitors.

To encourage creativity and provide on-site, first-hand event organising experience, Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong launched Fair Assistants Programme for our next generation to learn and meet like-minds.

Fair Assistants will be assisting the Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong team to ensure the smooth flow of the 5th edition of the fair.

*Fair Assistants will be assigned to roles depending on skills and flexibility and will not necessarily to do all of the tasks above.

- Work alongside gallery employees across various departments
- Conduct research
- Carry out administrative projects

Gallery Assistant – Galerie Huit


Galerie Huit is inviting high-caliber individuals to join the team as Gallery Assistant.

Full time, permanent

Working Hours: 10.30 am – 7.30 pm, 5 days per week (1 day on weekend)

- Assist Gallery Directors and Gallery Manager in the production and promotion of gallery exhibitions
- Maintain gallery space and assist in the daily operations
- Design of gallery publications and translation of text for gallery publications (including but not limited to catalogues, press releases, presentations)
- Manage international and local logistics of shipping artworks to and from overseas
- Manage gallery warehouse
- Manage gallery website and social media platforms in Hong Kong and overseas (including Mainland)

Art Handler - Rossi & Rossi Hong Kong




Full-time, Permanent - 5 days weekly, Monday–Friday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Position Summary:

- Ensure the overall safety, preservation, maintenance, and documentation of artworks on view, in storage, and on loan.

- Manage the gallery physical space and activities, including installation and deinstallation of artwork, opening and closing procedures and special events.

- Receive, catalogue and photograph newly delivered works; plan and organise exhibition-related movement of objects, including packing, shipping, and insurance for exhibitions as well as for incoming and outgoing shipments.

- Manage the database of inventory and digital images.


- Manage all aspects of artwork care, following and implementing accepted professional standards and practices.

- Maintain inventory records, database and labels; maintain files and archives.

- Coordinate with Rossi & Rossi London on the maintenance of internal databases.

- Responsible for logistics related to loans and traveling exhibitions, including documentation, condition reports, packing, shipping, and receiving.

- Administer loan forms and agreements and ensure adherence to established policies.

- Prepare and maintain all equipment needed for art fairs—toolbox and supplies.

- Coordinate Audio and Visual equipment needed for exhibitions.

- Organise and maintain gallery tools and equipment used for installation, repairs, conservation and storage.

- Establish object conservation priorities and plan/implement the safe storage of all works.

- Oversee monitoring of environmental conditions, including humidity and temperature.

- Assist in preparing proposals and applications for fairs and special exhibitions.

- Proper packing of artworks and maintenance of packing supplies.

- Liaise with shippers and manage off-site storages.

- Oversee local deliveries and off-site hanging when required.

- Coordinate framing and delivery of artwork to and from framers.

- Repair and paint gallery walls between exhibitions.

- Train and supervise part-time staff and and/or interns performing related work.

- Complete a bi-annual inventory report for the management team.


Bachelor's degree in art, art history, museum studies or related field and/ or experience as an Art Handler, Registrar or Collections Manager or comprehensive studio experience.
Required Skills:

- Fluency in Cantonese and English.

- Proficiency in photography and working with photographic equipment, digital file maintenance and photo-editing software.

- Proficiency on Mac platform and related software.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds, standing/walking an average of four (4) hours per day.

A successful candidate should have a strong work ethic, an eye for detail, understanding of art handling, packing and storage, knowledge of photography equipment, willing to dedicate additional hours during exhibition installations and have a positive attitude about performing many kinds of tasks on a demanding schedule.

Art Supermarket (founded in 2011) is an unconventional art gallery with the ambition to bring excellent and original art into our daily lives. Position: Gallery Manager (Full-Time)

Duties of Gallery Manager at Art Supermarket:

- Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the gallery
- Planning, organising, presenting and marketing exhibitions and shows, including responsibility for public relations, scheduling and managing exhibitions
- Arranging transportation of work to and from the gallery, both nationally and internationally
- Organising equipment hire and ensuring correct installation of the artwork

- Administration and marketing education/background and art experience in the art industry

Gallery Intern - Puerta Roja
