Intern (Part-time) - Pékin Fine Arts

Internship

The gallery offers part-time internships for candidates looking for professional art gallery experience and training.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in updating gallery website, artist catalogues, specific projects, and upcoming exhibitions
- Assist in online art marketing; social media and online arts promotion
- Meet and greet gallery visitors as needed

Requirements:
- Computer literate, Apple OSX, etc.
- Strong English language skills and Mandarin a plus; other languages also attractive
- Well-dressed office attire, professional manner and behaviour in the office
- Willingness to be part of a team and to pitch in as needed
- Online art marketing skills, familiarity with art publications, art market information, art news information; skilled at social media and online arts promotion
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions in a timely manner a must
- 2-3 days per week, 10am-6pm. Fixed schedule.

Gallery Intern (Part-time) - Empty Gallery

EMPTY GALLERY is looking for a young, self-motivated and reliable part-time summer intern to join us for a 2-month period, starting from June 2017. Successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the team and artists in the installation of exhibition, planning and execution of live music events, as well as the daily operations within the gallery.

Requirements:
- Current university student or Degree holder in art or design related subjects preferred
- Genuine interest in experimental art and music
- Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Independent, well-organised, quick learner
- Efficiency with Photoshop and Indesign is a plus

Working Hours:

Responsibilities:
· Serve as the face of the company to collaborators, supporters, and sponsors, discussing potential & strategic partnerships and raising funds
· Prepare grant applications, reports, presentations and proposals
· Communicate regularly with Board directors to plan strategy & facilitate initiatives
· Liaise regularly with art galleries in Hong Kong to build relationships
· Supervise the team, including overseeing daily office administration, finances, marketing & public relations
· Plan & organise events and initiatives, including Hong Kong Art Week in November each year

Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Gallery Intern (Full-time/Part-time) - Tang Contemporary Art

Tang Contemporary Art is looking for a part-time or full-time intern during the months of February to May 2017, subject to availability.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in day-to-day operations - including sourcing materials, running errands, and supporting all gallery departments and team members in Hong Kong, with occasional correspondence with Beijing and Bangkok
- Contribute to exhibition production, with flexibility to work longer hours on required installation or event days
- Prepare and review presentation materials required for gallery exhibitions and Art Basel Hong Kong booth in detail
- Be responsible for some reception work
- Translate work may be applicable

Requirements:
- Language: Must be fluent in English & Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing); Cantonese is a plus
- Art History or related University degree
- Interest and willingness to work in contemporary art
- Presentable with excellent communication skills
- Reliable and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and resourcefully, with efficiency and organisation

Gallery Intern - Over The Influence

Responsibilities:
- Work alongside gallery employees across various departments to help with communication
- Be present at the gallery and booth of various art fairs to assist visitors and gallery staff
- Carry out simple administrative projects
- Assist during exhibition openings and events
- Responsible for specific projects based on individual departments of interest

Requirements:
- Current University student ideally in the Art/Culture field (or related)
- Good command of spoken and written English & Chinese (Cantonese), another language is a plus
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, organised, with attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint; knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and/or InDesign
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

This is a paid position. Salary is HK$ 3,000 per month.
