Gallery Manager - 10 Chancery Lane Gallery


Established in 2001, 10 Chancery Lane Gallery is a driving force in contemporary art in Hong Kong and is one of Asia’s leading contemporary art galleries. 10 Chancery Lane Gallery seeks an exceptional candidate for the role of Gallery Manager.

Sales and Marketing
- Manage day-to-day sales of the gallery and sales staff
- Develop marketing and advertising campaigns for all gallery exhibitions
- Write and produce marketing and promotional materials, including press releases, artist bios, exhibition announcements and advertising
- Create content for gallery’s social media outlets and online sales platforms
- Publicise and attend gallery receptions and special events
- Cultivate client relationships and follow up on all potential sales interest
- Cultivate relationships with press and community leaders
- Maintain a cordial, pro-active sales presence in the gallery at all times

Gallery Administration
- Manage day-to-day gallery operations
- Supervise administrative, accounting and design assistants
- Recruit, train and supervise gallery interns
- Manage and monitor gallery systems including inventory, all mailing lists
- Manage inventory and storage of artworks
- Manage Shipping and insurance

Artist Relations
- Work closely with artists in planning and publicising exhibitions
- Assist artists in producing sales collateral materials
- Communicate with artists regarding exhibition timelines, production matters, installation, delivery of artwork, and other matters as needed
- Ensure complete and accurate inventory of artists’ work

- BA in Business Management or relevant field
- Previous gallery experience; sales experience beneficial
- Able to speak and write English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Knowledge of contemporary art and the Hong Kong art market
- Excellent writing skills
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Photoshop, Dropbox, (Illustrator and InDesign beneficial)
- Familiar with social media platforms; online marketing experience preferred

- Oversee the everyday office and facility management of Para Site

Gallery Assistant - Over The Influence


Our ideal candidate would be someone who has a genuine interest in art along with sales ability and commercial awareness. Prior experience in an international gallery would be a plus.
