Art Consultant – Opera Gallery

An Internationally established art gallery is looking for a full time Art Consultant with a proven sales track record and client database to join its Hong Kong team. The candidate needs to be hard working, ambitious and proactive with the exceptional communication skills required for obtaining new business and client development.

Responsibilities:
– Provide premium customer service and art expertise to clients and conduct sales of gallery art works to clients
– Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
– Assist daily gallery operation, gallery exhibitions, managing the artworks and the gallery display
– Provide support to the Gallery Manager where required

Requirements:
– Possess excellent communication and presentation skills
– Strong art knowledge and passion for art
– Work driven, fast learner with strong multi-tasking skills
– Flexible and able to commit to a demanding work schedule
– Strong time management, organisational skills and ability to work in a team
– Based in Hong Kong / with HK working permit
– University degree, preferably in Art History or Art Business
– Minimum 2 years working experience in a commercial art environment (gallery/ auction house / art fair)
– Fluent in English and Cantonese and/ or Mandarin
