Gallery Assistant (Full time) Copy

Set up in 2010, Blindspot Gallery is a contemporary art gallery based in Hong Kong. The gallery began with a primary focus on contemporary photography and image-based art, and has evolved to include diverse media in contemporary art. The gallery represents emerging and established Chinese and Asian artists from the region and beyond.

We are seeking a young, ambitious, and passionate individual to join our team as a Gallery Assistant, who will be working closely with our Gallery Manager and Director.

Responsibilities
• Assist Manager with daily operations of the gallery including administrative duties, inventory and database management
• Assist Manager with condition checking and shipping logistics of artworks
• Assist in preparation and organisation of gallery exhibitions and events
• Assist in preparing press and marketing materials including printed and electronic catalogues
• Maintain gallery’s website content and social media profile

Requirements
• University graduate
• Proficiency in English and Chinese (ideally both Mandarin and Cantonese)
• Creative software skill such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, is an advantage
• Organised, independent, detail-oriented, and proactive
