Work in one of the most established local art galleries in Hong Kong with a focus on Contemporary Chinese Art.
We are looking for a passionate team player who has a strong background in design and digital media.
Gallery hours: Monday – Saturday, 10:00 – 6:00 (work 5 days a week)
Key role will be to design promotional and marketing materials as well as
- Manage gallery website and social media platforms including Mailchimp, Wechat, Facebook and Instagram
- Help keep info up to date on all websites
- Post gallery happenings and newsletter
- Make YouTube clips of relevant artists, talks, events
- Assist in production design of catalogues
- Assist in exhibition installation and art fair booth designs
Requirements:
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and SketchUp
- Experience in handling AV equipment and digital technologies is a plus
- Immediate availability is highly preferable
- Past working experience preferably in an art gallery or related field is a bonus
Others:
- Maintain smooth day to day running of the gallery
- Maintain general appearance of the gallery
- Make sure it is neat and tidy at the beginning and end of the day
- Keep director up to date on all important details
- Since the number of staff in the gallery is not large, everyone is expected to pitch in and help each other when it is very busy
- Flexible working hours are expected, especially during exhibitions and Art Fairs
- Traveling overseas is required
- Expected to keep up to date with industry developments and market trends
