Pékin Fine Arts is a contemporary art gallery in Beijing established in 2005, with a Hong Kong branch gallery opened in 2012. It was listed by The New York Times as one of the “top museums and galleries” in Beijing. The gallery is now looking for a gallery assistant to join the Hong Kong team.
Responsibilities:
– Promote the gallery, its artists and exhibition programming to the local HK community and beyond
– Assist in sales of artworks. Assistant is expected to earn sales commission for all sales of new clients
– Assist in updating gallery website, artist catalogues, specific projects, and upcoming exhibitions
– Assist in online art marketing; social media and online arts promotion
– Meet and greet gallery visitors as needed
– Maintain and update daily display items and gallery presentation
Requirements:
– University graduate, preferable in art related subjects
– Computer literate, Apple OSX, etc.
– Strong English, Cantonese and Mandarin language skills; other languages also attractive
– Well-dressed office attire, professional manner and behaviour in the office
– Willingness to be part of a team and to pitch in as needed
– Online art marketing skills, familiarity with art publications, art market information, art news information; skilled at social media and online arts promotion
– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions in a timely manner is a must
– Awareness of the specific arts activities and events
– Previous experience in art field is a plus
