Art Supermarket (founded in 2011) is an unconventional art gallery with the ambition to bring excellent and original art into our daily lives. The gallery showcases a wide range of art works by emerging Asian and Western contemporary artists and is known to be a forward-looking contributor to the Hong Kong arts scene.
Responsibilities:
– Assist with day-to-day operations including general office administration
– Management of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram etc.) and different websites
– Assist with planning and organizing exhibitions
– Assist with updating artwork inventory and client database
– Writing press releases and artist, artwork and exhibition description
Requirements:
– Diligent, competent and creative-minded
– Excellent knowledge of social media platforms
– Languages: fluent in English, Mandarin and/or Cantonese
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills
– Responsible, self-motivated with positive attitude
– Retail sales experience
– Gallery/Museum/Auction House experience is preferable
– A Must: Adobe Software skills as Photoshop, Illustrator/InDesign
– Graphic design experience is an advantage
– Holding a valid permit to work in Hong Kong (because the candidate is HK citizen or permanent HK resident or is in HK on a dependent visa or IANG visa)
– Immediate availability preferred
