Gallery Internship – Lucie Chang Fine Arts (6 months)

Lucie Chang Fine Arts is a contemporary art gallery that was founded in 2011. We are currently looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Gallery Intern to join the team! Candidates will be able to gain an in-depth understanding of gallery operations through working on exhibitions and art fairs.

Responsibilities:
– Assisting with day-to-day operations in the gallery space – including sourcing materials, welcoming visitors, running errands and other ad hoc tasks
– Supporting the team in organizing upcoming exhibitions and art fair preparation (longer hours may be required on installation and event days)
– Preparing marketing and press material for upcoming exhibitions
– Managing social media accounts, ensuring the gallery’s online presence
– Translation work may be required

Requirements:

– Proficiency in computer and social media applications, mainly focusing on Chinese social media platforms including Xiaohongshu, wechat

-Proficient in MS Office, good knowledge of using design software is preferred ( e.g Photoshop, AI, InDesign and etc )
– Good grasp of English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, spoken and written
– Art history or related University degree
– Detail-oriented, organized and timely
– Independent, self-motivated, and willing to learn
– 6 months availability
