Intern (Part-time) – Alisan Fine Arts

Alisan Fine Arts is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated long-term intern to join our team. University students studying Fine Art, History of Art, Digital Media, or related subjects are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:

Help exhibitions

• Inventorizing art work once received
• Assist in installation and dismantling of the works
• Organize internal or external talks/tours of the exhibition
• Assist during Art Fairs

Plan, organise, promote and market exhibitions

• Writing press releases and disseminating
• Assist in production of invitation cards and exhibition catalogues.

Website and social media outlets

• We currently use Facebook, Instagram and Wechat for social media. Weekly postings are expected and more during busy weeks.
• Other websites besides our own are Artsy and Artnet. These need to be updated weekly with gallery exhibitions inventory.

General

• Maintain general appearance of the gallery
• Make sure it is neat and tidy at the beginning and end of the day
• Help file and archive books and catalogues

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months duration
•  Good command of spoken and written English & Chinese (Cantonese) a must
•  Proficiency in spoken Putonghua
• Immediate available is highly preferred

Working Hours:

Part-time, hours flexible, expect to work a minimum 4 times a week for several hours
Gallery Hours: Mon-Sat, 10am-6pm
