Founded in 2012, the Hong Kong Art Gallery Association is a member-based non-profit organisation of established art galleries in Hong Kong.
With over 40 art galleries as members, our mission is to advance the Hong Kong art gallery community by providing one voice to its members, reaching out to the local and international art community, and helping deepen market knowledge and best practices amongst its members.
The South Side Art Day, which will be held on 25 April 2020 from 12 pm to 7 pm, is a treat for gallery-hopping art lovers. The much-anticipated event is back this year with collective openings, exhibitions and performances from HKAGA’s Southside member galleries on the 25th of April. Explore the diverse art spaces in Wong Chuk Hang and Tin Wan, and revel in the charm of Hong Kong’s rising art hub. More details of the event are available here.
Responsibilities:
– Assist in the execution and coordination of HKAGA’s South Side Art Day on the 25th of April, including but not exclusive to:
– Stationing at Wong Chuk Hang or Tin Wan to serve as the point of information for visitors on the day of the event
– Coordinating with shuttlebuses and galleries
– Giving clear instructions and guidance to gallery visitors
– Provide ad hoc support to HKAGA team and SSAD participating galleries
– Commitment: 1 day (25 April 2020), from 10 am to 8 pm including a one-hour lunch break
Requirements:
– University students, preferably in the Art & Culture field
– Strong command of spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua
– Mature, presentable, with good communication and interpersonal skills
– Possessing initiative and self-motivation
– Ability to work independently and efficiently
