ABOUT US
Double Q Gallery celebrates and promotes distinctive talents from Europe. The gallery is supported by Q Contemporary, a private museum established in 2017 in Budapest. Powered by the substantial research and curatorial insights from Q Contemporary, we constantly connect with and engage in dialogues with emerging talents. We aim to discover, nurture and promote outstanding artists, and be the driving force to expand their artistic careers into Asia.
To our audience, Double Q Gallery presents a fresh and exquisite selection of artworks. We wish to reach new audiences in Asia and share the joy of exploring and collecting art to more people. By building a user-friendly online platform, actively utilizing digital technology and social media, we strive to develop more appreciation for art in our community.
Founding Story
Graduated from Central Saint Martins, UAL and started as a painter, Queenie Rosita Law has a profound passion for art creation, and appreciates the significant value of art in life. Traveling extensively around the world, she has been actively exploring the art scene and has become an enthusiastic patron in the art world.
Since 2015, she has been building a private collection highlighting Central and Eastern European artists. Her collection now includes several renowned post-war artists like SimonHantai,Dora Maurer, IlonaKeserü, and emerging talents likeArtemVolokitin.
From her encounters and communication with the artists, Queenie has also realized that many of them, while equipped with abundant talents, often lack proper opportunities. Many artists from the region have had remarkable exhibitions and gained regional recognition, while theirmarket stillremains undiscovered outsideEurope.
This discovery has inspired the founding of Double Q Gallery in Hong Kong, a gallery that aims at supporting distinct talents for their career development. Powered by
Queenie’s passion and her entrepreneurial spirit, the gallery will provide the artists with industrial support and showcase theirtalents on a broaderinternational stage. Queenie is also the founder of Q Contemporary, a private art institution in Budapest committed to researching and promoting contemporary artists from the CEE region. Led by a team of art historians, curators and industrial experts, Q Contemporary provides substantial support to Double Q Gallery with their academic expertise and curatorial insights. The museum has successfully held exhibitions in London and Hong Kong, and will continue to expand their global programs.
