Artist Talk | Song Kwangik’s Paperlogue

Soluna Fine Art proudly presents Song Kwangik’s first solo exhibition with the gallery, following his brief but successful debut at Art Central 2019. By applying or scattering paint on hanji (Korean Paper), Song’s artworks resemble a sense of nature and history. He first applies paint to the back of the paper in order to revive its serenity and plainness; simultaneously, he preserves the less saturated areas of hanji that is due to the natural entanglement of plant fiber. For this solo exhibition, Soluna Fine Art will organize an Artist Talk. This event will provide a wonderful opportunity for audience to gain insights into his unique creative process. From the artist’s inspiration and state of mind, to the philosophy and curatorial planning of the exhibition, audience can have the first-hand experience by delving into Song Kwangik’s mesmerizing art world crafted with hanji.
