Assistant to Art Exhibitions Department

Founded in 1955, we are a private investment company based in Hong Kong.

Our Art Exhibitions department was set up for management of both art exhibitions and collections.  We have over 400 sq metres of exhibition space for displaying artwork in private and corporate collections.

Job Highlights

The successful candidate will assist their senior(s) in the following tasks (but NOT limited to) :

• Transfer artworks from storage to exhibition space and vice versa
• Install artworks for exhibitions and dismantle afterwards
• Set up lighting
• Monitor humidity and temperature
• Update records of artwork, including image and video formats
• Liaise with service providers, contractors and vendors

We are not a commercial art gallery.  If you enjoy “front-of-the-house” activities such as doing sales and working on a commission basis, this position is NOT for you.

Requirements

• Higher diploma or above
• Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Word and Excel
• Basic comprehension and communication skills in English and Chinese
• Experience in museums, galleries or cultural institutions will be an advantage; as will basic photographic and video editing skills

We are looking for an individual who has substantial hands-on experience, pays meticulous attention to details and accuracy, is not afraid to ask questions and is proactive by temperament.  In addition, if your past or current work can show that you have good communication and interpersonal skills, you will have an advantage.  Salary will commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
