Internship – The Ink Society

The Ink Society is a not-for-profit organisation established in Hong Kong dedicated to promoting ink art through educational & outreach programmes. (More info here: https://www.inksociety.org/about)
This position is an exciting opportunity for those who are interested in developing a career in the art world. The intern will work closely with the Ink Society curator and Chairman.

Period:
– June to October 2023 (flexible working hours)
– Full-time for the duration of Fine Art Asia, 5–8 October, as well as installation and de-installation of the exhibition booth
Description:
– Assist in the preparation of the Ink Society’s “A Tribute to Chu Hing Wah” exhibition, as well as the “Liu Kuo-sung Ink Art Award” to be held at Fine Art Asia, 5-8 Oct 2023
– Assist in catalogue editing, proof-reading & research
– Assist in exhibition planning & logistics
– Assist in the day-to-day operation, as required
– During Fine Art Asia, duties include engaging with the fair visitors and introducing them to the exhibited artworks

Requirements:
– Preferably a student/recent graduate with an Arts degree & a passion for art
– Personable, resourceful, self-motivated, organised & detail-oriented; able to work both independently and with a small team

– English and Cantonese/Mandarin fluency

– Knowledge of Adobe and Photoshop strongly preferred

Compensation:
– Stipend provided commensurate with experience
