Researcher/Fine Art Cataloguer

3812 Gallery are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Researcher/Fine Art Cataloguer to join our growing team.

This is a paid internship for a fresh graduate only.

1 Year Full time

Responsibilities include:

• Research and write/contribute to bilingual scholarly essays.
• Research, identify and develop detailed publication and exhibition records, and write artwork descriptions for sales and catalogue entries.
• Examine artworks, write condition reports and assist with condition inquiries from clients.
• Assist in planning and executing curated strategies for exhibitions and projects
• Proofread catalogues and essays.
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Skills:

• Recent Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is essential.
• Attention to detail, from visual analysis of objects to the reviewing of catalogue entries.
• A good team player who is responsible, result-oriented, independent, able to multitask and work to deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel

Applicants:

1. Must be a HKSAR resident over 18 years old holding a valid Hong Kong Identity Card
2. Must be a fresh graduate in 2020 or 2021
