Since its establishment in Hong Kong in 1991, Kwai Fung Hin Art Gallery has been dedicated to promoting and preserving contemporary and modern art by established artists from China and beyond.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized candidate with a passion for history and arts to join us as an Archive & Curatorial Assistant. You will support our curatorial team to manage our archival materials and artist websites and contribute to outreach programs and symposiums events.
Job Title: Archive & Curatorial Assistant
Report to: Associate Director of Curatorial
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and catalog archival materials, while contributing to the establishment of artist archives
- Assist in establishing and managing the artist’s websites
- Conduct basic research and provide editing support to the curatorial team
- Contribute to the development and implementation of outreach programs, events and symposiums
- Develop and maintain the artist’s social media platform
Skills & Requirements
- Background in history, literature, arts, cultural studies or a related field
- Strong written language skills in both English and Chinese, knowledge of foreign languages is a plus
- Experience working with archival materials or in a research capacity
- Accuracy, strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to adapt to digital archival and website system
- Immediate availability is preferred
Working Hours and Location
Monday to Friday, 10 am – 7 pm
Chai Wan (head office), Hong Kong
